About Rotate
How Rotate Connects Community Recycling
Through Rotate, we bring Rotary groups and local host organisations together around small-item recycling in Brisbane. We operate as an ESRAG9620 Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group project supported by the Rotary Club of Brisbane Taylor Bridge.
Alongside the Rotary Club of Tennyson, Brisbane Taylor Bridge and Brisbane Inner West clubs, we help create places for people to leave items that are easy to miss in household recycling. Community venues handle collection, while specialist recyclers take materials that need a more specific destination.
Our job is to help people check what is accepted, find a recycling wall or specialist drop-off point and arrange collection when needed. Listed materials include bottle caps, bread tags, blister packs, corks, reading glasses, writing instruments, stamps, soap, small e-waste and X-ray film.
